“if it’s BRUTALITY you want, i will be more than happy to OBLIGE,” Monarch growled. His energy hands twitched erratically, hovering above his head, ready to strike as he watched 3D limp towards him. “i was willing to show MERCY. i have realized my MISTAKE. YOU AREN’T WORTH IT.”
The first hit connected with her outstretched arm, shattering the beautiful, carefully-constructed mechanics of her hand into metal splinters and twisted wires that pelted the floor like rain. He heard something in her arm crack at the impact, but didn’t wait to check the damage before kicking her legs out from under her. She landed among the shredded scraps of the hand Ruby had made for her, breath hitching in her throat just before he brought a bright blue fist down on her, smashing her rib cage in. The infernal crackling of her broken hand and the sizzling of her healing ability filled Monarch’s head and for a moment, he was lost in the noise, forgetting about his conjured weapons, forgetting all of it, kicking her in the side with his own, bare foot. And again, and again, each kick accompanied by a furious mental command. Be quiet. Be quiet. BEQUIET. DIE. DIE. DIE.
Her hand stopped with its mechanical clicks and pops once he smashed it into an even more unrecognizable mess – the part that had been left to chug and crackle with electricity was now crushed, disregarding 3D’s arm being a part of it. There was nothing left of that hand but mangled parts and blood. The infernal sizzling refused to stop, however, and it was all he could do to not end himself rather than her – but no, he guided his fury, sculpting hatred like a weapon and pointing it at 3D.
Hunched over like a beast, sharp fingernails almost trailing along the floor, Monarch felt hundreds of spikes coming out of him – sharp, erratic, uneven, pointy, brutal, but ultimately useless, not enough for her, not brutal enough. His energy hand grabbed her, pulling her to her feet but not letting her off the hook easy – the hand grabbed her head, slamming her face-first into the wall. Blood gushed from her nose and mouth as her knees hit the floor.
Silence, at last.
◣ ☣ ◥ This was it. She was dying. The entity could feel her life force ticking away by the second, each blink making her heavy eyelids feel as though they’d close and never open again. Ruined eyes took a look down at her grotesquely wounded body. Any attempt to heal herself was futile - shit, shit, shit. She was going to die here. Even worse, Yang would be forced back to experience all this pain. Oh Gods, that poor soul. She wouldn’t be able to handle it.
Trying to force herself to at least move from her fallen place on her side, the only signs of life the entity could show were small bubbles from the blood that continued to leak anything but steadily into her lungs. Every slight movement made distorted coughs and whimpers erupt from her throat, crimson mixed with a lava-like substance splattering over the wall and floor. No. No. She refused to die like this, even as a fractured mind allowed her the sweet bliss of remembrance.
In her slowly fading memories, she could see Ruby, Weiss, Blake, Stabbun, mommy Glynda, daddy King… She made a gurgle at that memory, the only noise capable of slipping out of the mounds of blood clogging her organs. It only added to the growing pool around her.
The memories seemed so authentic, so substantive, she could almost touch them. Despite every bone in her form throbbing in agony, 3D’s only slightly-good arm attempted to reach out to her not-dad; the reality being only her fingers twitching as a mangled sentence was murmured through bloody lips, managing to shift through the bubbling sanguine liquid that was killing her ever so quickly.
“ Da…ddy… I… love you… ”
